Residential Service Guidelines

Welcome to Home Town Disposal and thank you for choosing us as your residential waste collection company. We are looking forward to providing you with exceptional customer service. In order to do that we ask that you please keep an updated phone number & e-mail on file, along with reading over our policies.

Your 95 gallon roll out cart will be delivered to your house in 1-7 business days. Please note the due date on your invoice, as you must pay by this date in order to avoid late charges or suspension of service. Payments are due in advance and late charges are $9.50. If your account is suspended due to non-payment, you must pay 48 hours prior to your pick up day otherwise your trash will be picked up the following week. When sending checks, please provide the account number located on your invoice. * There is a $20.00 fee on all returned checks. If you would like to pay for the year in advance, you will receive a free month. Customers that end/cancel service before the end of their quarterly service period may be charged a cart and clean-up fee equal to one month's service. Your account will continue to bill quarterly unless you notify us that you would like to cancel. Please take note of the serial number located on the front of your cart once it is delivered. There is a $70.00 replacement fee for any damaged, lost or stolen containers. Carts are property of Home Town Disposal.

Please have your container(s) and all other trash on the curb the night before your scheduled pick up day to ensure service. If any items or containers are put out late, they will be picked up the following week on your scheduled pick up day. Please note we do not service or empty “competitor containers”. Unsafe road conditions due to extreme weather such as ice and snow, floods, etc, could cause a delay in your scheduled pick up day. Our crew will pick up a maximum of 5 bags (outside of cart) of household garbage, leaves (regular size, not oversized bags), or grass clippings per week. Please make sure the cart lid will close, all trash is bagged, and the cart is not too heavy & does not have any unacceptable materials in it. Limbs must be cut in 4 foot lengths, no larger than 3 inches in diameter, and we suggest that they be tied and bundled. Maximum pile should not exceed 3ft by 5ft. Do not put limbs in the cart if it will not close.

Below is a list of items that we can pick up. You must call our office 24-48 hours prior to your scheduled service day in order to have additional items removed.

  • Furniture - typically $20.00-$30.00 per item or determined by volume/weight
  • Extra Limbs, leaf bags, etc - Charges determined by volume/weight

** If bags are too heavy they will not be picked up.

Unacceptable Material: No construction material, rocks, dirt or concrete will be collected. Car batteries, large auto parts, motor oil, oil filters, tires, paint, solvents-drain cleaners, acids, lime and dead animals are not acceptable. Large work out or sports equipment. TV’s, computers, printers, scanners, fluorescent lights and other electrical appliances or any type of hazardous or liquid waste including cleaners-solvents and medical waste such as syringes and needles are not acceptable. No tanks of any kind: Oxygen, Propane, etc. No hot coals or fireworks. No combustibles.

Holdiay Collections: Our company does not provide service on the following holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, and July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
